Generating a Console Alarm Report
Follow these steps to generate a Console Alarm Analysis Report for a specific operator console.

Step 1 – Open the Console Alarm Report View
1. In the navigation tree, expand the relevant Configuration Collection.
2. Select Console Alarm Report under the Alarm Analysis section.

Step 2 – Select the Console
1. In the Console drop-down, select the operator console you want to report on.
2. Confirm that the console mapping is configured. If no mapping exists, see Console Mapping Overview.

Step 3 – Review Report Settings
1. Click Settings to open the Report Settings dialog.
2. Review alarm parameters, rationalization thresholds, and Station Summary thresholds.
3. Click OK to save any changes.

See Report Settings for details on each setting.

Step 4 – Generate the Report
1. Click Generate Report.
2. The application will process tag data for the selected console and calculate alarm rationalization counts, Station Summary data, and ISA-18.2 KPIs.
3. When processing is complete, the report is displayed in the report viewer.

Step 5 – Review the Report
1. Review the Alarm Summary tab for tag-level rationalization status.
2. Review the Station Summary tab to see all facility stations. The active console row is highlighted in blue. Other consoles show a dash for console-specific columns.
3. Review the ISA-18.2 KPIs tab for alarm performance metrics against §4.3 thresholds.
4. Review the Template Breakdown tab for alarm distribution across block template types.

See Understanding the Excel Report Layout for a description of all worksheets.

Step 6 – Save Snapshot to Database
1. Click Save Snapshot to persist the current report results to MongoDB.
2. The snapshot records the report date, console, and all calculated values for historical trend analysis.
Note: Saving a snapshot does not export to Excel. These are separate operations.

Step 7 – Export to Excel (Optional)
1. Click Export to Excel.
2. Choose a save location for the workbook.
3. The workbook is created with the following worksheets: Tag Data, Alarm Summary, Station Summary, ISA-18.2 KPIs, and Template Breakdown.

See Understanding the Excel Report Layout for workbook details.
Tip: Export to Excel after saving the snapshot so the exported file reflects the same data that was persisted to the database.
